Your First Visit
Please arrive about 10 minutes early so that you have enough time to fill out a New Patient form.
Initial Examination
Your dentist will begin by reviewing your medical and dental history and completing a comprehensive dental exam. Your exam will include a thorough examination of your gums, teeth, bite and jaw, an oral cancer screening and any required X-rays.
Treatment Plan
Based on your history and examination, your dentist will develop a dental treatment plan for you. Your dentist will also take the time to answer any questions you have about your dental health and treatment options.

Encouraging Good Oral Hygiene in Children
At Art Dentaire Familial clinic, our mission is to create a reassuring and positive environment for your child.
Your child’s first visit to the dentist helps establish a positive relationship with dental care. It’s also the perfect time for the dentist to assess your child’s dental development and, if necessary, identify any issues that may require early intervention.
Office FAQS
Read the FAQs to learn more about what to expect at Art Dentaire Familial.
-
At what age can I bring my child for their first visit?
We recommend a first visit around the age of three. Before this age, we believe the child is too young, and cooperation can be more challenging. However, if you have any concerns or issues, don’t hesitate to consult us. We will be happy to welcome you.
-
How often do I need to have dental check-ups, and are X-rays necessary?
It is recommended to have dental exams every six months. These, along with X-rays, are extremely helpful in preventing issues like tooth decay. Some problems are not visible to the naked eye, which is why X-rays are strongly recommended.
-
Is my dentist responsible for my insurance?
No! Your dentist submits your claim requests during your appointments. However, it is important to know that your dentist is not responsible for your insurance. It is your responsibility to verify the percentage of your coverage and the specifics of your insurer.
